The Farmer, The Horse and The Pig
Something to ponder.....
There was a farmer who collected horses; he only needed one more breed to complete his collection and bought it.
A month later, the horse became ill and he called the veterinarian, who said: Well, your horse has a virus. He must take this medicine for three days. I’ll come back on the 3rd day and if he’s not better, we’re going to have to put him down.
Nearby, the pig listened closely to their conversation.
The next day, they gave him the medicine and left. The pig approached the horse and said:
- Be strong, my friend. Get up or else they’re going to put you to sleep!
On the second day, they gave him the medicine and left. The pig came back and said:
- Come on buddy, get up or else you’re going to die! Come on, I’ll help you get up. Let’s go! One, two, three…
On the third day, they came to give him the medicine and the vet said:- Unfortunately, we’re going to have to put him down tomorrow. Otherwise, the virus might spread and infect the other horses.
After they left, the pig approached the horse and said:
- Listen pal, it’s now or never! Get up, come on! Have courage! Come on! Get up! Get up! That’s it, slowly! Great! Come on, one, two, three… Good, good. Now faster, come on…. Fantastic! Run, run more! Yes! Yay! Yes! You did it, you’re a champion!!!
All of a sudden, the owner came back, saw the horse running in the field and began shouting:
- It’s a miracle! My horse is cured. This deserves a party. Let’s kill the pig!
Points for reflection:
This often happens in the workplace. Nobody truly knows which employee actually deserves the merit of success, or who’s actually contributing the necessary support to make things happen.
LEARNING TO LIVE WITHOUT RECOGNITION IS A SKILL!

Review: Malibest Resort, Pantai Chenang, Langkawi.
Seperti yang sedia maklum, sepanjang percutian bajet langkawi kami selama 3 hari 2 malam, kami stay di Malibest Resort di area Pantai Chenang.
ok, ini bilik kami.
kemudahan yang ada memang lengkap - air cond, water heater dan tv. dan katil yang besar.
cuma memula aku masuk dalam bilik, lantai tak bersapu, penuh pasir. jenguk punya jenguk, rupa2nya ada penyapu kat luar bilik. semua bilik ada satu kot. aku intai...hahahaha.. memang la penyapu ada, tapi untuk bilik yang baru disewa, kena la bersih kan. ape kes ada pasir ni cik kak oiiii...
siaran tv memang terhad - tapi siaran2 utama semua ada. cuma line langsung tak clear. terputus2.. remote tak ada kena picit kat tv tu. bila aku tanya receptionist dia masa nak keluar, dia cakap memang tak clear. so aku pasrah je la kan. aku bukan datang bercuti sebab nak tengok tv.
tapi paling aku tak puas hati adalah toilet. kotor. dinding macam tak dicuci langsung for one or two week. korang paham je la, bilik air kan cepat 'berlumut' kalau malas nak berus2 ni sebab bilik air kan selalu lembap. tapi air dia laju, nak mandi or nak melepaskan 'hajat' memang selesa cuma a bit dirty. memang la ni resort bajet (rm120/night), tapi bab2 kebersihan ni aku rasa kena jaga betul2.. tak kisah la barang2 tak mahal, view kat luar kat cantik tapi kebersihan is the no.1... ye takk?
next, kat bilik ada wardrobe gak, tapi area wardrobe ni gelap sebab lampu dh 'mati'. malas aku nak komplen yang ni sebab aku bukan nak guna pon wardrobe.
Dari 10 stars, aku bagi 5 je. kalau aku pergi langkawi lagi, kalau tak ada choice, baru aku dok lagi kat sini. kalau tak, aku cari je hotel or chalet lain dulu. tapi apapon, aku tetap puas hati sebab ni last minute punya plan walaupon dah beli tiket dah berbulan2.. sebab ingat awal2 tak jadi pergi dah..
kesimpulannya, kos aku menginap kat sini - RM120 x 2 = RM240 (tanpa breakfast sebab malibest memang tak ada breakfast...)
